Review Policy

Review Process Policy

JoEMS (Journal of Education and Management Studies) applies double-anonymous peer review to research articles and systematic literature reviews. Author and reviewer identities are withheld from one another during assessment.

1. Initial Editorial Assessment

The editorial team checks scope, originality, completeness, reporting quality, ethical compliance, and suitability for external review. Manuscripts may be returned for clarification or declined at this stage.

2. Independent Peer Review

Suitable manuscripts are assessed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the research question, scholarly contribution, methodological quality, evidence, interpretation, and clarity. Additional assessment may be requested when needed.

3. Editorial Decision and Revision

The editor considers reviewer reports and may accept, request minor or major revisions, or reject the manuscript. Authors must provide a point-by-point response explaining changes and any reasoned disagreement. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review.

4. Integrity and Independence

Review materials are confidential. Reviewers and editors must disclose competing interests. Manuscripts authored by editorial board members are handled independently.

Editorial decisions rest with the responsible editor. Payment for publication or expedited handling does not guarantee acceptance or waive review requirements.

Authors may submit a reasoned appeal through the editorial office, identifying specific errors or procedural concerns.
