Editorial Process and Publication Timeline
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal's aims and scope, originality, completeness, and compliance with the Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening proceed to peer review in accordance with JIKA's editorial policies.
Following peer review, authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments and editorial recommendations. The Editor makes the final decision based on the manuscript's scientific quality, the reviewers' assessments, and compliance with the journal's requirements.
The editorial and publication process consists of the following stages:
- Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system.
- Initial Editorial Screening: The editorial team evaluates the manuscript's scope, originality, completeness, and compliance with submission requirements.
- Peer Review: Manuscripts considered suitable are evaluated by qualified reviewers according to the journal's peer-review policy.
- Revision and Editorial Decision: Authors address reviewers' comments and revise their manuscripts when required. The Editor determines whether a manuscript is accepted, requires further revision, or is rejected.
- Production: Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, language preparation, formatting, proofreading, and other production procedures.
- Publication: Finalized articles are published in the scheduled issue after the editorial and production processes have been completed.
The duration of each stage may vary depending on reviewer availability, the extent of revisions required, and the completion of editorial and production procedures. Submission or acceptance does not guarantee publication in a particular issue.
