Abstract

Education is a very important factor for students in determining their career because as time goes on, the higher the competition in the world of work, therefore with education students will find it easier to achieve their goals. The purpose of this research is to find out what factors influence students to tend to be less interested in continuing their education after graduating from Vocational High School. The focus of the research here is on class XI students at Hasbullah Creative Vocational School, because many students there choose to continue working rather than continue their education in higher education. This study uses a phenomenology qualitative method with direct data collection at the Hasbullah Creative Vocational School. The results of this study are family economic factors that make students prefer to work directly rather than continuing in higher education after graduating from Vocational High School.
