Abstract

This study focuses research on the use of novels as a medium of learning in the context of moral education. This research was made with the following problem formulation, namely: 1. What are the intrinsic elements contained in the novel In Mihrab Cinta by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy? 2. What are the moral values ​​contained in the novel In the mihrab Cinta by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy? 3. How is the expression of the values ​​of moral education in the novel In Mihrab Cinta by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy? This research is a type of library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The analysis technique used is the content analysis technique with descriptive and interpretation methods. Then, this research builds on the collective relationship of two data sources, namely primary and secondary data. The primary data in this study is the novel In Mihrab Cinta by Habibbrahahaman el-shirazy and the secondary data in the form of books that are relevant to the object of the problem under study. The results of this study in the form that the values ​​of moral education towards yourself, which includes the spirit of demanding responsibility, honesty, independence, being optimistic. While the values ​​of moral education towards Allah and His Apostles, which include diligent prayer in congregation, patience, sincerity, repentance, gratitude, efforts, increasing piety, glorifying the apostles, and tawakkal. While the values ​​of moral education towards fellow human beings, namely mutual respect, please help, keep the jani, tawadhu, prejudiced, generous, generous greetings and deliberations. It can be concluded that the novel in the mihrab Cinta by Habibburahman El Shirazy is a literary work in the form of a novel, which can be used as a medium in moral education. The novel presents an interesting story that is loaded with religious and moral education.
